Open Crew from the dashboard to manage the people who run your trips. Add each crew member with a name and a role — captain, first mate, deckhand, and so on — and a phone number so you can reach them quickly.
For every crew member you can record their certifications as a simple list of tags. Type a certification (for example USCG, STCW, or First Aid), press Enter, and it's saved to that person's profile. This gives you a single place to see who holds what before you put them on a trip.
Crew also have an availability status — available, on-duty, off-duty, or on-leave — so you can tell at a glance who can be scheduled. You can assign a crew member to a specific boat, which is handy when certain people always run certain vessels.
When a vessel is marked as captain-required, the charter rate already includes a captain, and one is assigned based on availability for the guest's date and time. For bareboat-eligible vessels, the guest can optionally request a captain during booking. Keeping your roster and statuses current makes those assignments painless.
Crew certifications here are a record you maintain, not an automated alarm system. Review the list periodically and update tags as people renew or earn new qualifications.
