FleetOS booking is request-based, not pay-now. A guest opens your fleet page, picks a vessel, and fills in the booking request form: date, guests, and their contact details. They acknowledge the Florida boating-safety notice and submit.
When they submit, FleetOS holds the slot for 15 minutes while they review the details and confirm. No money changes hands online — the message under the button literally reads "No payment required now. Slot held for 15 minutes." This keeps the door open for you to vet the request and collect payment your own way.
The request then arrives in your dashboard under Bookings. You'll see the boat, the date and time, the guest's contact info, the party size, and any notes they left. From there you can confirm availability and reach out to the customer to finalize.
Because nothing is auto-charged, you stay in control of every trip. Confirm the ones that work, decline the ones that don't, and follow up by phone or email using the contact details captured on the request.
This is also why your fleet's availability and operating hours matter — they shape which dates and times a guest can even request. Once those are set, your first real booking is just a matter of sharing your fleet link.
