The FleetOS booking flow is deliberately simple and request-first. Here's the full path a trip takes, end to end.
Step one — details. The guest picks a date (and, for hourly boats, a start time and duration), sets the party size, and enters their name, email, and phone. They tick the Florida boating-safety acknowledgement. When they continue, FleetOS checks live availability and places a short hold on the slot.
The hold. From the moment they continue, the slot is held for 15 minutes. The button copy is explicit: "No payment required now. Slot held for 15 minutes." This protects the guest from losing the time while they read the policies, and protects you from double-bookings.
Step two — review. The guest sees the safety requirements, passenger limits, and your cancellation policy, and must agree to the terms. They can add a captain if the boat allows it, apply a promo code, and read a clear price breakdown of subtotal, any discount, and taxes and fees. Then they confirm.
After confirmation, the request lands in your dashboard under Bookings with all the details and a status you manage. If the hold expires or the slot was taken in the meantime, the guest is told to go back and pick another time — no silent failures.
Because no payment is processed online, the final step is yours: confirm the booking and arrange payment with the guest directly. You own the relationship and the money from start to finish.
